Jake Reeds is the pen name of a minor United States writer, visual artist, and musician.
Legend has it that he emerged from the left temple of Jeff Hansen. He was 92 years old and fully formed, with a long white beard. Jeff Hansen claims not to remember him emerging, and speculates that it may have happened while he slept, or it all may be a mere legend. Jake lives as a recluse in Hopkins, MN, where it is said he composes his poems in the Spiritualist tradition.
In Lily Dale, NY, a Spiritualist enclave, there are paintings with no brush marks. They were purportedly created by sheer mental focus and spiritual acumen: the paint reportedly leapt up from cans straight to the canvas, the only medium being thought itself. Jake Reeds is said to compose poems in the same manner. He just looks at the computer screen and, Voila!, the poem appears fully formed. He also does this with ink in notebook pages. Without turning a page or lifting a pen, he can fill dozens of pages of a notebook with a finished poem.
He is just starting to publish, often with his own micro adventure, The Circulatory Press. Below is a list of his publications.
